💳 Purchase & Licence
You pay once and use the software forever. There are no monthly fees, no annual renewals, and no subscriptions. Payment is made once via Microsoft Store and your licence is yours permanently. All future updates are delivered automatically and free of charge through the Microsoft Store.
The $99.99 launch price is valid until 31 August 2026. After that date the price will permanently increase to $149.99. No exceptions, coupon codes, or additional discounts will be applied.
When you download the app from Microsoft Store, a 21-day free trial begins immediately. You have unrestricted access to all features during this period. At the end of the trial you can choose to purchase — if you don't, simply stop using the app. There is no automatic charge.
The standard licence is designed for one business. You can install it on devices linked to your Microsoft Store account. For multiple independent businesses or additional licensing needs please contact info@selgorithm.com.
Selgorithm does not offer a separate refund policy. Because the app includes a 21-day free trial, you have the opportunity to experience every feature fully before purchasing. We strongly recommend completing the trial before buying.
⚙️ Setup & Compatibility
Windows 10 64-bit and later are fully supported. Windows 11 is fully compatible. 32-bit systems are not supported.
Search for "Selgorithm" in the Microsoft Store and click Get / Install. The installation is automatic. On first launch, a setup wizard guides you through entering your store name, currency, and admin credentials.
No. Your data is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Selgorithm_Web\ and is unaffected by uninstallation. We strongly recommend creating a backup via Data → Backup before uninstalling, as an extra precaution.
Nothing. Microsoft Store downloads and installs updates automatically in the background. When you open the app you are always running the latest version.
🌐 Offline & Data
Yes, 100%. Sales, inventory management, customer records, reporting, and all other functions work fully offline. Internet is only required for the initial download from Microsoft Store and for receiving updates.
All data is stored locally on your Windows device at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Selgorithm_Web\globalbook.db. No data is sent to external servers, cloud environments, or third parties.
Two methods are available: (1) Inside the app, go to Data → Backup to save a .db file to any location you choose. (2) Copy the entire %LOCALAPPDATA%\Selgorithm_Web\ folder to an external drive or cloud storage. To restore, use Data → Restore.
Stock list, sales records (with date range), expenses, and staff payroll payments can all be exported to Excel. These exports are for internal operational reference only and do not constitute official accounting or legal documents.
💰 Payments
Three methods: Cash (F8), Card (F9), and Credit / Account (F6).
No. F9 logs the sale as "card payment" for reporting purposes only. There is no physical POS terminal or card reader integration in the application. The actual card transaction must be processed separately on your bank's POS terminal; Selgorithm only records it as a card sale for your reports.
A sale closed with F6 automatically creates a debt entry in the selected customer's account ledger. When the customer later pays, you can record the payment in Customers → Account Ledger to keep the balance current.
🔌 Barcode & Hardware
Any standard USB or Bluetooth HID barcode scanner is compatible. Selgorithm reads scanner input as keyboard input, so no special drivers are required.
Connect your printer to Windows and install its driver. Then, in Selgorithm Settings, enter the printer name exactly as it appears in Windows. Every completed sale will then automatically print a formatted receipt. Note: printed receipts are for informational purposes only and are not official legal documents.
The built-in label designer is for generating new barcodes for bundled book sets, products whose original barcode conflicts with another item in the system, or promotional packages that need a unified barcode. You can choose size, quantity, and layout, then print directly to a connected printer.
📊 Reports & Accounting
Profit = Revenue − (Qty × Label Price × (1 − Purchase Discount%)). The report is available in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly time scales. Each row includes: period, quantity, revenue, cost, profit, and margin%.
No. Selgorithm is a retail operations tool designed to save time and streamline your workflow. Reports and exports are for internal operational reference only; they carry no official accounting or legal standing. The software and its developers cannot be held liable for financial decisions made based on this data.
No. Changing the currency only updates the symbol displayed on screen and in reports (e.g. ₺, $, €). No exchange rate conversion or recalculation of existing prices or records is performed.
🔐 Users & Security
Unlimited users and staff accounts. Each account independently stores its own language preference, visual theme, role (Admin or Staff), and access permissions.
Admin: full access including reports, sale cancellations, user management, stock editing, and all settings. Staff: can only perform sales, manage the cart, use Order Hold (F7), and select customers. Sensitive functions are completely hidden.
Not immediately. A cancelled sale is moved from the active sales log to a dedicated cancellation archive — stock is automatically restored and revenue corrected. Archive records are retained for the number of days set in Settings (cancellation window). Records older than this period are cleaned up automatically.
🌍 Language & Theme
8 languages: Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Afrikaans, Russian, and Arabic. Each user selects their own language independently.
Go to Settings → Appearance and choose from 13 themes. The change takes effect instantly with no page refresh needed. Each user's theme preference is saved separately in their account.
